MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin hopes that it will be possible to avoid a repeated introduction of strict measures, similar to the spring ones, due to the coronavirus.

“None of us really want to return to harsh restrictions of the past spring. I hope that we’ll be able to avoid them. Yet only if we protect ourselves and our loved ones,” the Mayor wrote on Friday in his blog.

He emphasized that the current situation differs significantly from the state of affairs in spring. “Over the past months we have learned a lot about the novel virus, became more careful, acquired habits which help in protection against the infection. Doctors learned to diagnose and treat this disease,” he explained.

On Friday, the Mayor again recommended to the elderly residents and those with chronic illnesses to observe the self-isolation regime or, if necessary, switch to working remotely or take a vacation. He also asked the management of the enterprises and institutions to shift again as many employees as possible to the remote format and tasked the authorities with increasing the control over compliance with anti-epidemic measures in the workplace.
