Barcelona Uninterested in Signing Chelsea Stars Due to Age and Poor Performance

According to Toni Juanmarti, Barcelona has no interest in acquiring Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta and N’Golo Kante. Earlier this year, there were rumors of the Blaugrana pursuing both players, but the team’s concerns about their age and lack of form have led them to pass on the opportunity. Azpilicueta, 33, has made only 26 appearances for a struggling Chelsea team in all competitions this season. Meanwhile, Kante has been plagued by injuries and has played in only six games across competitions at the age of 32.

Reports suggest that Barcelona has abandoned its intention to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to Camp Nou. Since his transfer to Stamford Bridge, the Gabonese striker has struggled to earn playing time, featuring in only 19 games this season and contributing three assists.

Barcelona has shifted its focus to Inigo Martinez and Ilkay Gundogan, both in their 30s, as their top targets instead of the previously mentioned players. Martinez has a lot of experience playing in La Liga and is well-suited for the Blaugrana’s style. Gundogan, who remains Manchester City’s best player, is also being considered.

Barcelona Representatives Will Negotiate With Chelsea Target In Brazil:

One of Barcelona’s main goals this summer is to strengthen their attacking lineup, with veteran striker Robert Lewandowski approaching the end of his career. The club has identified Vitor Roque from Brazil as a top target, according to Mundo Deportivo, and is also looking at Chelsea.

Representatives from the dominant La Liga team will soon travel to Brazil to negotiate with Roque, who currently plays for Athletico Paranense and has scored five goals and provided two assists in ten games across competitions. Roque’s style of play has drawn comparisons to Gabriel Jesus and Luis Suarez.
