BRICS New Development Bank earmarks $10 bln for pandemic control

MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. The BRICS New Development Bank has allocated $10 bln for projects on pandemic control and mitigation of its consequences, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Wednesday at a press conference in TASS.
“Taking advantage of this opportunity , I must say about operations of the New Development Bank. 64 projects totaling over $20 bln were approved as of early October. $4 bln have already been allocated for projects on pandemic control and mitigation of its consequences, while $10 bln were set aside for these purposes in total,” Ryabkov said.
The Eurasian regional center of the Bank in Moscow is planned, the diplomat added.
